Purpose

This workshop is based on the SAQA-registered Unit Standard ID 115753 – Conduct Outcomes-Based Assessment, NQF Level 5 with 15 credits. The intention of the five day training workshop is to give learners the opportunity to conduct two assessments under supervision to ensure they get a full understanding of the assessment process. In-house training also makes it more affordable for companies as they do not have to pay for their employees’ travelling and accommodation. The training becomes more site specific and easier to make practical application.

Assessment

The portfolio is submitted to LSS for assessment on the last day and as soon as the Learner-Assessor is found competent, they will receive a letter and assessment report indicating their competence declaration. Assessment College issues a certificate of competence and applies for endorsement from the ETDP SETA. This certificate is nationally accepted by all ETQA’s should you wish to register as an assessor.

Registration

Upon receiving their competence certificate and statement of results, Learners have to apply with their relevant SETA for registration as a constituent Assessor. The application for registration is available from their relevant SETA.
